Tattoos

Quick little post on a fave topic of mine. I love looking at tattoos (hellooo pinterest/tumblr). I have two, one of which you can see in my profile picture. It's a single stem rose dedicated to a much younger me that feared them a little because of the thorns (they hurt), I guess its symbolic as well. I now like them a lot and see beauty in the very same thorns that once caused me pain. 

My other tattoo is a line from After the Storm by Mumford and Sons (awesome band!). That song right there is the only song that ever made me cry. For no reason other than the fact that I connected with the lyrics on such a deep level. I would like to get more lyrics of theirs soon. 

Who am I kidding. There are plenty of other things I'd love to get inked on my body, but I am not exactly at liberty to do whatever I want at the moment. The military has strict rules on the amount of visible ink while in uniform. But hey, plenty of skin available here!

In the Beginning...

A blog's first posts are always kinda awkward, like the first day at a new school and you don't know where to sit in the cafeteria. You don't know anyone yet, and nobody knows you. And if this is high school, you're probably barely getting to know yourself. 

What kind of blog will this turn out to be? Should I post stuff about my life? Will people even care to read about it? Most likely not. But I find that I enjoy blogs that I connect with or find entertaining. I don't know how entertaining this blog will be but I can say that I am a typical young adult emerging into the world, I must have something in common with a reader out there! Well if you are that reader I hope you'll stick around and be a buddy on this journey of life.
